From Vine to Wine: Integrated Pest Management Impacts on Grape and Wine Quality
Join us for the first ever workshop of its kind offered from the OWRI - a blending of integrated pest management and wine sensory analysis. Learn the latest information on mealybug, leafroll virus and spotted wing drosophila and their impact to wine grapes. Never before reported information about the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) will be made available. Interwoven with IPM information is wine sensory evaluation, displaying how these pests impact wine quality as well as a rejection threshold test of BMSB taint in wine.

Industry Partner Recruitment for the Statewide Crop Load Project
Yield management is an important quality control step in winegrape production. A significant body of research exists for yield management with respect to vine balance, ripening, fruit and wine quality, but the outcomes of those studies have been variable due to different management methods, cultivars, and climates across regions. The Statewide Crop Load Project was developed as a way to conduct yield management research across Oregon for Pinot noir production. For more information, click here.
