Experiencing Wine: A Sparkling Good Time

Dr. Elizabeth Tomasino, Assistant Professor of Enology-OSU, is offering an afternoon exploration of sparkling wine just in time for the holiday season. 

Journey through traditional champagne winemaking, learn how to decipher champagne labels, other types of sparkling wine and end with a short sparkling wine and food pairing. 
The one-day workshop will consist of two sessions, each will include wine tastings.
This workshop is offered in two different dates & locations. 
Session One:
Traditional champagne making (method champenoise)
    Wine tasting-Champagne wine styles, by sweetness

Session Two:
Sparkling wine grape varieties
   Wine tasting-Champagne wine styles, by grape varietal
   Wine tasting-Other sparkling wines (Prosecco, Cava, and more)
