Outreach and Extension

I work with wine grape, tree fruit, and vegetable growers, and nursery and landscapers in Douglas County. My work consists of keeping the horticultural producers in Douglas County attuned to insect pest and plant disease problems. I work with sustainable IPM programs encouraging producers to use smarter softer pest control programs than in the past. I also work promoting the judicious use of fertilizers with all crops to reduce runoff into waterways. I work with Master Gardeners and home horticulture to promote sustainable landscapes and gardening practices.
