Effective Vineyard Spraying

Multiple award winner, author, and agricultural engineer Dr. Andrew Landers is coming to the Yamhill Valley campus in McMinnville to speak about Effective Spraying. He is renowned for his informative presentations that are delivered in captivating style. This full day practical workshop will cover all aspects of vineyard spraying.

  • The presentation will be taught simultaneously with Spanish translation available.
  • Oregon Department of Agriculture pesticide recertification hours will be available.

Growers will learn how to spray correctly, efficiently and at the right time. This course will help attendees understand how to better hit their target, reduce drift and attain better spray deposition all while possibly even reducing pesticide usage. After this course, attendees will have a practical understanding of how to work with sprayers including correct calibration, nozzle selection and understanding how to monitor and correct spray deposition. This course will also review sprayer components and design as well as worker safety. 

Dr. Landers has also authored the preeminent text on vineyard spraying, "Effective Vineyard Spraying", which will be offered at a 20% discount for all workshop attendees ($48).

This workshop is being hosted by the Wine Studies Program at Chemeketa Community College and sponsored by the Erath Family Foundation.
